You can click/tap on the image below (or select the full screen icon on the bottom right corner to expand) to see how to transfer 2FA to a new device by scanning QR code from an old device. You can also check the written instructions below.
- Open the Google Authenticator application on your old device.
- Tap Option (3-line icon) on the top left of the screen.
- Select Transfer accounts or Transfer codes.
- Select the account that you want to export.
- Tap Export accounts or Export codes.
- Scan your Face ID, fingerprint, or device passcode.
- You will get a QR code on your old device ready to be scanned.
- Install the Google Authenticator application on your new device, open the application, and tap on the Plus icon (+) at the bottom right of the screen.
- Select Scan a QR code.
- Scan the QR code that you previously prepared from your old device.
- The system will import your account from the old device to your new device, and tap OK to close the pop-up.
- You will see the information on your 2FA on the authenticator application in the new device.
Remark: Please keep this QR Code away from other people for your account safety.
